Learning to draw it well changes everything. \nHoLA Maz is thrilled to welcome professional artist and illustrator Mike Dubisch to facilitate monthly immersive live figure drawing classes. Working from a live model\, you’ll develop your eye and your hand through timed poses that build real skills: gesture\, construction\, line quality\, and the fundamentals of human anatomy. \nMike’s career spans decades of professional illustration\, with credits including Dungeons & Dragons\, Star Wars\, and Aliens vs. Predator. He brings that depth of experience directly into the classroom offering not just instruction\, but genuine artistic insight. \nWhether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time in years or looking to sharpen skills you already have\, this class meets you where you are. This month she will pull out all our water based paints including watercolours\, gouache and acrylics to create the bluest blues of the ocean and the brightest oranges of sunsets. \nOver the course of the afternoon we invite you to stay and play with paint\, no fear of making mistakes\, there will be happy accidents\, spilled water\, splatters and blobs. We will release expectations\, allow ourselves the grace and freedom to discover the potential of play. No experience required only creative curiosity. We will explore colour to express mood\, colour to create depth\, colour mixed in an infinite variety of wonderful palettes.
